I really enjoyed my visit! The chai was delicious and the blueberry muffin was amazing. I also loved the atmosphere the environment was calm, relaxing, and beautifully decorated with art that made the wait enjoyable. Overall, it was such a nice and relaxing experience, and I’ll definitely be back!

I’m so excited I finally went here!!!! Terrance told me the strawberry cornmeal cake was going to hit me in my ancestral soul and boooyyy was he right! Thank you, Terrance. Natalie whipped my drink up and I appreciate the energy that surrounds her— kinda would go back just to pick her brain about her business and coffee/tea knowledge. Kelly was also great! She connected with me in the short time I was there and I appreciate her for bringing that comfort to the space. It’s one thing to go to a business and connect to the colors, images, and the things they say they’re about— and there’s another thing to see the values of the business in the people leading it. I respect you all and am glad you are in the Charleston community and I pray for your lasting success. You have made a lifelong customer out of me!

The Washington Cafe is seriously a whole vibe 🤎 My latte was SO good, and our treats were amazing too—everything just felt fresh and intentional. The space itself is beautiful, peaceful, and full of culture. It’s one of those places you walk into and instantly feel relaxed. Huge shoutout to Peter Washington III—he created something really special here. I’ll definitely be back!

I stopped by for the soft opening and absolutely loved it! The vibe was so welcoming, spacious, fun and full of great energy. PJ, the owner, was super cool and made everyone feel right at home. The coffee and treats were flowing and everything I tried was delicious. The decor and art on the walls added such a real and creative touch. You can tell this place was built with love and community in mind. Definitely my new favorite coffee spot!

Got to go! In a city that has quaint down, it's so great to come to a place that has both charm and space. Right away I knew I could come here and have a great conversation and cup of coffee with a friend, or a I could open up my laptop and get things done. I was so impressed by the friendliness and warmth of the owner Pete. What a location too. The vibe is smooth, jazzy; great soft sun sunlight and artistic class. My cappuccino was on point and the food looks amazing. I had to give it advance rating (strawberry corncake c'mon) - this is on my every month Mount Pleasant-Charleston go tos!

Very cute little coffee shop that you would never know existed. Lattes were phenomenal and the jalapeno cheddar biscuit sandwich was amazing. Highly recommend this place. North Mount pleasant could use more like that

We're visiting Mt Pleasant and have been searching for a good coffee shop while we're here. We were pleasantly surprised by this place!! The barista was friendly and knowledgeable about the hot tea I got. The coffee my husband had was also very good. The atmosphere was also great. It's up stairs, so take note of that if you can't do stairs, but worth the visit for a good cup of coffee/tea.

My sister in law and I popped in here on a whim, after I searched for local coffee shops and saw it was a black owned business. The owner is amazing and so are the drinks and pastries! We got coffee and a strawberry corn cake which was absolutely delicious. The shop is clean, quiet and beautiful, especially the artwork. I loved checking out every piece and hearing a bit from the owner about why he opened the coffee shop. 10/10 recommend!!

Washington Cafe was such a great find. We ordered a Brown Sugar Iced Cappuccino and a Caramel Iced Latte and both were some of the best coffees we have had in a while. The flavors were smooth and perfectly balanced. I came because another review said “they know ball” and they do in fact know ball. The staff was incredibly warm and inviting, and the overall aesthetic of the cafe was perfection. Every detail felt thoughtful and welcoming. This place is a must try!!

Excellent friendly service, beautiful local art, and a modern and spacious interior. Delicious coconut iced latte and strawberry corn cake!
